New Barnes & Noble Store Opens

Following the sudden departure of the Barnes & Noble store on Original Avenue, residents of MoreCityBricks began a campaign to open a new bookstore to meet the community's growing need for 1x2 books.

"This community relies on good books," said Mayor Builder. "Amazon.com can certainly supply books, but a bricks without mortar store is an essential element in any Lego-based community."

Residents were both relieved and delighted when moments after the CPA firm of Dewey, Cheetum, & Howe closed their doors, an ambitious local shopkeeper began stocking the store with books.

"It's a godsend," said John Reader. "We can't go another minute without a bookstore in this town. I, for one, will be in there everyday paying my dues to insure this store stays open."

Many patrons of the newly opened store were also pleased that the third floor houses a new Starbucks coffee shop as well.
