Starbucks - Barnes and Noble Leave Town

In a shocking turn of events, MoreCityBricks residents woke up to an empty lot at the corner of Original Avenue and Official Lane Tuesday morning.

"I can't believe Starbucks is gone," exclaimed one resident in tears. "Where am I going to get my coffee?"

Other residents lamented the closing of the bookstore, the loss of story time, and the overwhelming feeling of loss. "We've come to depend on this place," said John Reader. "We supported them with our business and they just up and leave overnight? That's not right."

Mayor Builder tried to calm the masses, assuring them that another bookstore would open soon and Take the Cake Bakery serves delicious coffee. And the Lego fans who had come to rely on Barnes and Noble for their Lego fix can still shop at the LEGO store on Three-in-One Trafficway or the LEGO kiosk at the train station.

"That's very funny," said Sally Naysayer. "Like we have the time to drive all the way out to the train station to get a LEGO fix!"

Mayor Builder refused to speculate on the motive behind the store closing. "All I can say is that somewhere in Oregon, another Lego city is rejoicing at their good fortune."
